Via my long ago cohorts, Annie and Attaboy at Hi-Fructose, please note this really cool approach to comics by Shintaro Kago.
This artist was actually brought to my attention by another artist who I interviewed, coincidentally enough, for Hi-Fructose ten years ago, jonathan WAY$HAK. I had the great pleasure to finally meet him in person at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco, where he had a piece in their tribute show for Mike Mignola's Hellboy.
Also, I'd like to point out the super amazing exhibit they have right now of Raina Telgemeier's Smile! I was so pleased to get to visit the museum's new location out on Beech Street. Raina's work is up through March 19, 2018 - get it while you can.
